When she came into this life
She had no doubts, no fears, no judgments
She believed that everything would turn out right
Before it all turned to dust…

The world has taken away
Everything she worked so hard to be
She doesn’t wanna walk alone

What she thought was black and white
Now lies somewhere in the gray between the lines
She tried so hard to make it right
But sometimes you just can’t keep up the fight
Because the world has taken away
Everything she could be.

Now she wonders if it’s too late
Until now she’s had everything at stake
She wonders what it’ll take this time
To clearly read between the lines
Because the world has taken so much
And left her wondering who she was.

But somewhere deep inside her soul
A part of her still wants to know
If there’s a life beyond the pain
If she can find herself again.
She’s lost so much along the way
But there’s still a part she can’t give away.

And maybe someday she’ll understand
That life doesn’t always go as planned.
That what was lost can’t always be undone
But that doesn’t mean her story’s done.
The world may have taken who she used to be
But it hasn’t taken who she still could be.
